Its been a while since we have updated our site so here is a quick rundown of how 2009 went for Pettis Performance and our customers.

In PSCA 1/4 mile heads-up drag racing our customers achieved these accomplishments in 2009:

11 wins <> 12 runner ups <> 9 #1 qualifiers <> 5 class low ET <> 6 class top speed <> 3 class performance records

3 class championships <> 4 top three championships

Here are the people who finished in the top five in their respective classes using Pettis power.

<>Outlaw 10.5 Champion<>  Doug Sikora with Jason Pettis as crew chief <but only when the car runs good :p>

A consistent year while learning a new combo going from nitrous to a Pro Charger with BS3 EFI. Big learning curve but we got it done with help from Job Spetter at Turbo People.  Throughout the year we got even more help from Pro-Charger, Mikes Transmission, Neal Chance Converters, Mickey Thompson, a few others, and last but not least Bob, the man behind the scenes at the track. The car ended up with the PSCA ET record at 6.715 but has run as quick as 6.67 at 210mph.  The car is a 2000 Mustang back-half chasis 2750 lbs with a glide on 10.5w tires.

This is the quickest and fastest Pro Charged legal 10.5w car in the world

CALL PETTIS PEFORMANCE FOR YOUR PRO CHARGER NEEDS WETHER IT BE A PULLEY, CAM COMBO, OR COMPLETE CUSTOM DESIGNED ENGINE SYSTEM AND WE CAN MAKE YOU FASTER.

<>OUTLAW 10.5 #3 points finisher<>  Greg Seth-Hunter.  Holding the current MPH record ar 212.8mph with his twin turbo SB Chevy Nova.

<>Pro-Street performance recognition<>  Giuseppe Gentile using a Pettis cam and piston combo in his bad dude turbocharged BB Ford has the PSCA MPH record at 232.1. It might not last long though because at SCSN in Vegas he ran 6.17 at a booming 245mph.  Great job guys!

<>Xtreme Street #2 points finisher<>  Rich Hoyle in his Chevy II with a SB Chevy nitrous combo has gone 7.40’s at 180+mph on 29×10.5 slicks.

<>Xtreem Street #3 points finisher<> Allen Stewart had a good year bagging a win with his nitrous big block and getting his car into the 7.60 182 mph zone.  And if anyone in southern California is looking for some real estate you need to talk to Allen’s brother Francis from FAS Realty.  He is the man!  Thanks for everything Francis.

<>HOT STREET CHAMPION<>  Tony Aneian & Gypsy Mike.  Using an older Pettis engine they kept it alive and got the job done.  Nice work.

<>SUPER STREET #2 finisher<>Ron Oddo BB Chevy making over 1000hp and round after round reliability.

<>QUICK STREET CHAMPION<>  Chris Biggerstaff 975hp BB Chevy tortured by the Doc racing at every chance, the engine has over 700 passes and he wins a championship with it.  I’m glad its back in the shop now cause I was starting to feel bad for the parts in that thing.

In WCHRA 1/8th mile heads-up drag racing our customers were also gettin it done with several wins, championships, and records set.  Here are the top 5 points eariers using our services.

<>OUTLAW 10,5 CHAMPION<>  Doug Sikora with Jason Pettis again serving as crew chief on Doug’s Pro Charged SB Ford qualified #1, set low ET, ran Top Speed, and won at every race they entered.  The ET and MPH records were set in the 1/8 mile format at 4.44 at 170mph.  The car has since gone 4.32, next year should be fun with a few more competitive cars showing up.

<>OUTLAW 10.5 #2 finisher<> Rich Zehring allowing us to maintain his Fulton built monster 850+cu nitrous engines kept him ready for each race to work out the combo in his Chevy Nova.

<>TRUE TEN FIVE CHAMPION<>  Rich Hoyle shows his veteran skills and gets the job done with the little engine that can and does.  SB Chevy on nitrous going 4.80’s at 140+ in the 1/8th mile.

<>MOD PRODUCTION CHAMPION<> Glen Walton / Bill Hickok providing short bock machine work for his Jones Engine Development built SB Ford.

<> A/GAS #5 finisher<> ROB ALLEN 632ci BB Chevy with big and reliable power in cool classic Chevelle.

<>C/GAS #2 finisher<> Chris Biggerstaff showing why he wins so much in such a short driving career,  he makes a ton of passes each year racing two classes at each race.

<>OPEN COMP #3 finisher> Chris Biggerstaff again.  Chris loves to drag race.

Thanks to everyone that chose to use us for their engine related needs.  We are looking forward to more success in the coming years.
